Frequently asked questions

Who is it for?

The "Morning Fog" Fighter: If you struggle to wake up, the heavy hit of Eucalyptus and Peppermint acts like a sensory alarm clock. It’s for the person who needs their shower to be a high-energy "reset" before a long day.

The City Dweller: If your skin feels "congested" or heavy from daily life, pollution, or gym sweat. This bar is for someone looking for a deep, "breathable" clean that doesn't rely on harsh synthetic chemicals.

The "Tight Skin" Sufferer: If you’ve spent years thinking your skin is naturally "dry" when it’s actually just being stripped by cheap detergents. This is for someone who wants to step out of the shower and feel like they’ve already applied a light lotion.

The Conscientious Minimalist: For the person who wants to replace five plastic bottles of "shower gel" and "face wash" with one high-performing, artisan bar that looks like a piece of art on their bathroom sink.

The Self-Care Enthusiast: This isn't just "soap" for getting clean; it’s for the person who treats their 10-minute shower as their sanctuary and wants a spa-level experience without leaving the house.

How to use

For the ultimate morning reset, run your shower on the warmer side to create plenty of steam. Wet the bar and massage it between your hands or onto a natural sponge to "bloom" the essential oils.

The Cleanse:
Apply the dense, silky lather to your skin. Take a moment to breathe in the clearing vapours of Eucalyptus and Peppermint. Because of the mineral-rich clays, you can even leave the lather on your skin for an extra minute to let the charcoal and turmeric work their magic before rinsing clean.

How to Make Your Bar Last (Pro-Tips)
Handcrafted soap is naturally high in glycerin, which loves water. To make sure your soap lasts as long as possible, follow these simple steps:

Keep it High and Dry: Never leave your bar sitting in a pool of water. Use a self-draining soap dish (wood or ceramic with slats is best) so the air can circulate around the bar.

The "Dry Touch" Rule: If the bar feels hard and dry to the touch between uses, it will last significantly longer.

Slice it up: Some of our customers prefer to cut the bar in half, keeping one half in the shower and the other half dry until needed. This keeps the soap firm and maximizes its lifespan.

About the product

Most "soaps" in the store aren't actually soap—they are chemical detergents. Cold process soap is made by mixing oils and lye, which triggers a natural chemical reaction called saponification.

  • Natural Glycerin: In mass-market soaps, the glycerin (a natural humectant that pulls moisture into the skin) is often stripped out to be sold separately in expensive lotions. In cold process soap, the glycerin stays in the bar, making it naturally moisturizing.
  • The "Cure" Time: Cold process soap is "cured" for 4–6 weeks. This evaporation process makes the bar harder and longer-lasting, ensuring you get a dense, creamy lather rather than a mushy mess.
  • No Synthetic Foaming Agents: It doesn’t rely on SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) to create bubbles. The lather comes from the natural fats, like coconut or olive oil.

Biodegradable: Unlike liquid body washes filled with microplastics and synthetic thickeners, cold process soap is fully biodegradable.

Zero Waste: It usually comes in paper packaging (or none at all), helping to "ditch the plastic bottle."

While charcoal deep-cleans, the cold process method allows for "super-fatting." This means extra oils are added so that even though the charcoal is working hard, the soap leaves a protective thin layer of oil behind.

Travel-Friendly: It’s a solid! No worrying about "3-ounce liquid rules" at the airport or messy leaks in a gym bag.

A Note on Appearance

Because our soap is handcrafted in small batches using the traditional cold-process method, no two bars are exactly alike. When your order arrives, you may notice slight variations from the product photography. This is a hallmark of truly artisanal soap!
